Multicultural societies, intercultural dialogue and European museums

The traditional educational mission of museums is strongly challenged by deep changes in the social context in which they develop their action. This is partly due to the technological evolution of the information society which implies relevant changes in the way people are connected and involved in the learning process, partly to the deep changes in the age groups structure of society, but most of all by the different visions and viewpoints museums have to take into account to reflect the complexity of contemporary society.
